Looking for old carbon masts - even damaged

Unread post by Pazuzu »

Hi. I am looking for some old carbon fibre windsurfing masts. I will not be using them for windsurfing, it is for a DIY project to connect to two canoes together in a catamaran. I will likely be cutting them down to about nine or 10 feet so it’s OK if the ends are damaged. I just need a strong pole that is light.

If you’ve got anything collecting dust in your garage please let me know.

Thanks!

One piece (15’) carbon masts were rare and now are likely history. Usually the 2 pieces are rarely 8’ long each so you may need to look elsewhere for 10’ pieces

Monkeymike, What brand of top section is it? And how much carbon? I am looking for old Sailworks, Technofibre and Powerex SDM (Standard Diameter) mast top and bottom sections. I'll consider paying for them to especially if they are high carbon content. PM me if yours is too short for Pazuzu. And you want to unload it.

Thanks. I think that’s gonna be too short for me. Hopefully someone else can find a good use for it.
